Suzuki Mohei Shoten offers lantern-making workshops.There are various types, from traditional chochin to outdoor and wearable chochin.Making your own chochin will make you feel more attached to them.Why don't you spend a rich time with your own chochin?
本格的な提灯づくりを鈴木茂兵衛商店で体験することができます。
型組み→ヒゴ巻き→ノリ付け→紙張り という実際の提灯づくりと同じ工程を体験。作った提灯を持って、水戸の街や祭事などに出かけてみてください。
You can experience authentic chochin making at Suzuki Mohei Shoten.
The process is the same as the actual process of making chochin: mold assembly, string wrapping, gluing, and paper stretching. Take the chochin you have made with you to the streets of Mito and to festivals and other events.

社内でつくる提灯よりも少し小さめな「ぶらり提灯」をつくるワークショップです。提灯の仕組みや作り方を学びながら本格的な提灯を作ることができます。
【事前予約推奨/定員6名】
提灯のかたちの型と和紙を組み合わせたランタンちょうちんづくりです。アウトドアのイベントでは作った提灯をその日の夜に使用でき、型を外せばコンパクトに持ち帰れる構造となっています。和紙にシールやスタンプなどを使ってカスタマイズすることもできます。

持ち歩いて使える提灯の形のキーホルダーです。
色付きの和紙を貼り、シールやスタンプを使うことで手軽にオリジナリティのあるキーホルダーを作ることができます。

出来上がっている小さい提灯に、シールやチャームを組み合わせ、かんざし風のオリジナル提灯を作ることができます。季節に応じたパーツやシールの柄をご用意いたします。
